ENT Alleray Health Service; 25761 Lorain Road <br />Proposal consists of signage. The following variances are requested: <br />1. A 2.73 foot variance for a wall sign taller than permitted, code allows 4 feet, applicant shows <br />6.73 feet, section 1163.28(c). <br />2. A 5.93 square foot variance for a wall sign larger then allowed, code permits 100 sq ft, <br />applicant shows 105.93 sq ft, section 1163.28(c). <br />3. An 87.43 sq ft variance for total area of signs on a building, code permits 108 sq ft, applicant <br />shows 195.43sq ft, section 1163.25(b) (see note B). <br />Note: A). There are two addresses assigned to the building, however individual unit frontage is <br />unable to be defined due to the layout/footprint of the building. <br />B). Total square footage of all wall signs includes an existing 8 sq ft canopy sign, an 81.5 <br />sq ft wall sign and the proposed 105.93 sq ft wall sign. <br />Major Harrison with Brilliant Electric Signs and Jeffery Binder were administered the oath. Mr. <br />Harrison said the building has two anchoring businesses both of which are permitted wall signs. <br />The height variance is due to the logo and brand name being stacked and measured as one sign. <br />Individual letters are less thenlft 3in tall. The variance for total square footage on a building is <br />the combination of two existing signs and the applicants sign. The proposed wall sign is setback <br />further on the building then the existing signs. Ms. Rudolph noted that the size of the logo was <br />double the size of the lettering. Mr. Harrison said his clients were looking into acquiring a <br />smaller logo. Mr. McReynolds said due to the layout of the site and being a multi-tenant unit <br />square frontage could not be defined. Dr. Binder said their office has been located at the site for <br />12 years and their main entrance is located at the rear of the building. New and existing patients <br />have complained the office building is hard to find without a sign. Board members had no <br />objections to the request but encouraged using a smaller logo. Mr. Raig felt the design fit the <br />building. <br />Mr. Lopez moved, seconded by Ms. Bellido, to grant ENT Allergy Health Service of 25716 <br />Lorain Road the following variances: <br />1. A 2.73 foot variance for a wall sign taller than permitted, code allows 4 feet, applicant <br />shows 6.73 feet, section 1163.28(c). <br />2. A 5.93 square foot variance for a wall sign larger then allowed, code permits 100sq ft., <br />applicant shows 105.93sq ft, section 1163.28(c). <br />3.
