Mr. DiFranco said the plans
show splash-blocking the pump-house downspouts which he would not object to if the city is
provided plans showing how the water will be addressed. Mr. O'Malley said the city owned the
parcel and reviewed the City's relationship with the Cleveland Water Division.
Mr. Frank said the North Olmsted site is part of a larger project which Cleveland Water is
undertaking. The Dover site includes refurbishing the tank inside and out and replacing the
existing building with a new pump house. The pump house will be brick and the color will
match the existing building. Site improvements include new landscaping of 6 ft Norway spruce
trees, reconfiguring the parking area used for site inspections and new reconfigured fencing
coated black to match the existing. They are hoping to start the overall project spring of 2013
but noted specific start dates for the Dover site were yet to be set. There will be no interruption
to water services at any time during construction. Mr. Bohlmann asked if the water tank would
be grounded or if there would be a backup generator at the site and Mr. Frank said yes. Ms.
Wenger added that Clearwire withdrew their proposal for the site. Mr. Ghassan said there is a
generator at the site therefore no interruptions would occur during power outages.
Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Mr. Bohlmann, to approve CMS12-19 Cleveland
Division of Water of 4930 Dover Center Road their request which consists of site
improvements which passed 4-0.
