PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR JANUARY 25, 2012 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Meredith called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Pi-esent: Melissa Meredith, Greg Malone, Don Rerko, Julie Nader, Robert Parry, Ralph <br />Bohlmann <br />Absent: Mark Mahoney <br />Staff: Planning & Developnlent Director Kimberly Wenger, Assistant Law Director Bryan <br />O'Malley, City Cngineer Pete DiFranco, Clerk of Cominissions Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Meredith moved, seconded by Ms. Nader, to aprrove the Planning ancl Design <br />Commission minutes of January 11, 2012 as amended, which passed 4-0. Mr. Parry and <br />Mr. 13ohlmann abstained. <br />NCW BUSINESS <br />CMS12-01: Olmsted Unitarian Universalist Congregation; 5050 Porter Rd <br />Proposal consists of a lot split and consolidation. A section of parcel B, PP# 232-09-010, which <br />is 2.072 acres will be split off and consolidated with parcel A, PP# 232-09-038, which is 1.296 <br />acres. Newly created parcel B, PP# 232-09-010 will be 0.918 acre and parcel A, PP# 232-09- <br />038, will be 2.450 acre. Both parcels are zoned Single Family Residence B. <br />Ms. Wenger said the new parcels meet zoning requirements for width, depth and area therefare <br />she has no objection. Mr. Hungerford, the attorney for the church, said parcel A contains the <br />church ancl parcel B contains a rental home owned by the church. Mr. Hungerford said if the <br />rental home on parcel B is sold the church plans to retain the green space area which would give <br />them the possibility of using the area for youth programming or future parking expansion. <br />Ms. Merectith movecl, seconded by Mr. Malone, to approve the lot split and consolidation <br />for CMS12-01: Olmsted Unitarian Universalist Congregation of 5050 Porter Rd consisting <br />of Parcel B(PP# 232-09-010) ancl Parcel A(PP# 232-09-038). The newly crented Parcel B, <br />PP# 232-09-010 will be 0.918 acre and Parcel A, PP# 232-09-038, will be 2.450 acre. Motion <br />passed 6-0. <br />NOACA Intersection Studies Presentation <br />Ms. Wenger said the city participated in the Transportation for Livable Communities program <br />through NOACA. The grant awarded NOACA staff time to work with the city in identifying <br />possible improvements to the two intersections identiiied. The intersections chosen were based <br />upon their unique configuration, traffic flow and alignment. The City Engineer identified
