Festival to display their work at City Hall. Another idea was to contact the Cleveland Institute of <br />Art and other art schools to promote the call for artists. The City's electronic message sign can <br />be used to identify the current artist whose work is on display. <br />Community Networks <br />Ms. Wenger said a representative from the Olmsted Performing Arts would attend the <br />commissions September meeting. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture would attend in October. The <br />commission discussed the importance of reaching out and communicating with other groups and <br />organizations so they can understand what it takes to grow and develop their commission. It was <br />suggested a master data base be created listing media, vendors, web sites and other cultural <br />groups the commission could use. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Parks & Recreation <br />Ms. Strippy said the Mayor's office has received inquiries from residents about music in the <br />park. The commission discussed working with the Parks and Recreation to bring it back, <br />perhaps one Sunday per month late stumner and early fall. The event could be called Arts in the <br />Park and include other forms of art media. David Wahl, Bill Brake and Lauren Suter formed a <br />committee to create the framework for possible events in 2014. <br />COMMISSION ORGANIZATION <br />Ms. Wenger said samples of mission statements provided were to assist the commission in <br />creating their own mission statement.
