LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR JUNE 10, 2013 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in Council's Chambers. <br />Present: Paul Schumann, Rosemary Walker, Jim Morse, Dale Thomas, David Neville, Tom <br />Dubowski <br />Absent: Maryellen Davis, Don Rerko, Albert Richner <br />Staff: Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley, Clerk of Commissions Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Mr. Morse, to approve the Landmarks Commission minutes <br />of May 13, 2013, which passed 6-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Homes of historical interest <br />• 4322 Porter Road <br />• 25747 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Mr. Schumann said he would draft a letter to both homeowners letting them know the <br />commission is interested in their homes. Mr. Neville said he would talk with them to see if they <br />would be interested in having their home recognized. Mr. Schumann asked the clerk to invite <br />Mr. Richner to make contact with the Porter Road homeowner. <br />Designation of Landmarks <br />• 4302 Porter Road: set public meeting date <br />Commissioners discussed scheduling the public hearing the same night Planning & Design <br />Commission meets June 26, 2013 so both the hearing and Planning & Design Commission <br />recommendation can be accomplished the same night. The clerk suggested holding the hearing <br />prior to Planning & Design Commission's last meeting in July or first meeting in August as <br />Council is on vacation the month of July. The clerk was asked to coordinate a date with Mr. <br />Richner as he will make the presentation. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />James Morse & Daniel Hocevar; 30092 Lorain Road, PPN 234-14-016: <br />A request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for a restoration plan. <br />Mr. Morse said now that the home has been designated as a landmark they would like to restore <br />the home as much as possible. They want to start the review of the multiple projects they are <br />looking to undertake. They hope to return in two months with detailed plans to officially request
