LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 8, 2013 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm in Council's Chamber. <br />Present: Paul Schumann, Albert Richner, Jim Morse, Rosemary Walker, David Neville, Tom <br />Dubowski, Don Rerko <br />Absent: Maryellen Davis, Dale Thomas <br />Staff: Director of Planning and Development Kimberly Wenger, Clerk of Commissions <br />Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Neville moved, seconded by Mr. Morse, to approve the Landmarks Commission minutes of <br />March 11, 2013 which passed 7-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Designation of Landmarks: 4302 Porter Road <br />Mr. Schumann said the commission received the revised report and Mr. Richner said the revision <br />included additional information on the home. Ms. Wenger said the report would be forwarded to <br />the Planning and Design Commission as updated. Mr. Morse commended Mr. Richner for the <br />work put into the report. <br />Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to forward the 4302 Porter Road report as <br />amended to the Planning & Design Commission and City Council for approval which <br />passed 7-0. <br />The commission requested plaque styles be placed on their May docket and they would like to <br />see any plaques which have been used in the past. Mr. Richner said in researching the 4302 <br />Porter home he found that the 4322 Porter Road home was also built by the Biddulph family and <br />felt it should be researched as a possible home for recognition. Mr. Schumann suggested the <br />commission create a list of homes throughout the city which could or should be historically <br />recognized. North Olmsted Citv Schools; 27501 Butternut Ridge Road, PPN 235-16-021: <br />A request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to demolish the existing house. <br />Mr. Schumann said the site visit showed the interior requires extensive work; only the original <br />structure would be of interest to Frostville. He said due to the height of the original section it <br />would need to be cut in half to move. Ms. Walker asked if the sandstone from the basement <br />would also be moved to Frostville for repurposing. Mr. Schumann said when the church was <br />moved the sandstone blocks were used around the foundation of the church as it has no
