Mr. Neville said the <br />Historical Society motioned that they have a strong interest in the home being moved to <br />Frostville. Once an estimate of the cost to move the home is determined the society will decide <br />if the funds can be obtained. He asked why a permit was <br />not sought prior to demolishing the garage. Mr. Akoury explained that the garage had water <br />damage and was structurally unsafe so he removed it the first weekend he purchased the house to <br />ensure it didn't fall. It's not his intent to change the look of the home other than having a master <br />suite above the garage. The addition's roofline will match that of the existing homes. The new <br />garage will be a two car garage slightly larger than the previous one to house his cars and <br />recreational vehicles. The entire roof will be replaced using green dimensional shingles as the <br />existing shingles are covered in moss and falling of£ The shaker wood shingles on the home are <br />in such poor condition they can't be salvaged. He was able to find a rye colored Portsmouth <br />shaker vinyl siding that he would like to use throughout the exterior of the home. He asked if <br />permits were required for removing trees and Mr. Morse recommended getting in touch with the <br />City Forester who malces recommendations as to which trees should be removed and saved. Mr. <br />Neville said the commission would rather see only those parts of the trees endangering the home <br />removed. Mr. Schumann said if any existing windows are replaced they should be double hung <br />windows to match the existing windows. Mr. Akoury said he would only replace those windows <br />necessary and they will all be double hung windows to match the existing ones.
