Mr. Copley said they would address all property <br />maintenance issues on the parcel being reviewed. Mr. Bohlmann asked if the applicant is required <br />to install the brickscape. Ms. Wenger said she believed it appropriate to allow the applicant to <br />address those requirements when they return with a development plan for the entire dealership. <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Bohlmann, to recommend BZA grant CMS12-29 <br />Ganley Honda of 25796 Lorain Road the following variances: <br />1. A 65 foot variance for front (all uses) setback; code requires building (and any display <br />merchandise) to be set back 75 feet from the right-of-way, applicant shows display (4) <br />and inventory (12) vehicles within the required setback, Section 1139.07 table. <br />2. A 10 foot variance for front parking setback; code requires 20 feet, applicant shows 10 <br />feet, Section 1139.07 table. <br />Mr. Malone said the commission's recommendation for approval is based upon the front line <br />of site being consistent throughout the dealership and eliminates a curb-cut along Lorain <br />Road. Roll call: Nader, Walker, Anderson, Rerko, Malone yes; Bohlmann -no. Motion <br />passed 5-1. Mr. Bohlmann said his vote was based upon his opinion that the applicant should <br />address the storm water system, fencing, curbing and brickscape at this time for approval. Mr. <br />Anderson said his vote was based upon the variances requested and that other issues with violations <br />of any building and engineering codes would be handled administratively. Mr. Rerko and Ms. <br />Nader agreed that issues pertaining to water retention were outside the scope of review for the <br />commission and should be handled by the city engineer. <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Ms. Nader, to approve the proposal for CMS12-29 Ganley <br />Honda of 25796 Lorain Road with the following conditions: <br />1. Engineering and property maintenance inspections conducted and applicants addressing <br />any violations found. <br />2. Callery pear trees installed 2-1/2"caliper and defined as being either a Cleveland select or <br />Aristocrat. Installation sizes for creeping juniper should be 3gallon containers and fountain <br />grass lgallon containers. <br />3. Approval is contingent upon all lots being consolidated. <br />Roll call: Nader, Walker, Anderson, Rerko, Malone yes; Bohlmann -no.
