Mr. Gareau said the building department tracks abandoned signs and gives notice to <br />owners to remove the signs after six months. Mr. Pietro asked if the pole sign was removed <br />could a monument sign be installed. Mr. Russell said a monument sign could be designed for the <br />site however it may require a couple parking spaces to be removed. Mr. Gareau said its clear <br />variances will be required due to the size and layout of the lot and the board understands such <br />situations. Ms. Rudolph said the board understands that the lot is narrow and they would worlc <br />with the applicant if they chose to install a monument sign.
