W) <br />d. North Olmsted Magazine <br />Magazine deadlines for content are this week. Jim Dubelko said he submitted his two <br />articles. Kim will check with Cleveland Magazine to see if any content is outstanding. The <br />edition will be released on February 2, 2015. <br />e. Merchandise <br />Lauren will design a general bicentennial t-shirt (men's and women's styles) and a canvas <br />tote to be ready for the Bicentennial Bash. Additional merch can be designed and reorders <br />can be placed as necessary. Kim will provide shirt counts. <br />f. Bicentennial Arts Showcase <br />An October date has been secured with Great Northern Mall. Laura said information about <br />the event will go out several months in advance of the date with a deadline two months prior. <br />g. Banners <br />Two types of banners were discussed. An event banner will hang across Lorain Road at the <br />park to promote upcoming events. Three of these are anticipated. Vertical banners will be <br />decorative and generally promote the bicentennial. A February specific banner will be <br />designed and a bicentennial banner for use the rest of the year. Bryan said Community <br />Council was considering purchasing hardware for additional intersections which could be <br />used by the city for this purpose. <br />III. Event 5tatus Renorts <br />a. New Year's Eve Bash <br />Jackie said preparations have been made for the event and the focus is now on ticket sales. <br />To date 57 tickets have been sold. The goal is a minimum of 200. Springvale has added a <br />continental breakfast at midnight and an open bar to encourage ticket sales. Rather than have <br />a volunteer staff a table, it is hoped merchandise can be sold at the bar. Jackie secured <br />advertising in the Sun and through Cleveland.com to help promote the event. Jamie said the <br />Rec Center is not holding an event that night to not conflict with the bicentennial event. <br />b. I If North Olmsted events <br />The donation from St John Medical Center should cover all expenses for the three February <br />events. The group hopes to get input and participation from St John for each event. Planning <br />is well underway for all events. The most complicated will be the farm market and food <br />show, which fortunately is last. <br />c. Summer in the City <br />David has interest from several bands. The Arts Commission will make decisions regarding <br />bands early in 2015. A variety of food vendors and other onsite activities will be considered. <br />d. BiKEcentennial & Community Picnic <br />Molly said the proposed bike ride route is the same as the Mayor's race, in the <br />neighborhoods around the park. A bike village will be set up at the park, and could include <br />2
