? ., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTEI) <br />ARTS COlYIMISSION <br />BICENTENNIAL COIVIMI'I'TEE MEETING <br />MINUTES OF OCTOBER 15, 2014 <br />Lauren Suter called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. in Council's Caucus Room. <br />Present: Lauren Suter, Sue Collander; Paul Schumann, Jim Morse, David Neville, Jim <br />Dubelko, Duane Limpert, Jaclcie Chavez-Anderson, Jeff Campbell, Tom Dubowslci, <br />Stephanie Procter, Laura Simna, Cailey Bralce, Gretchen Schuler, Annie Kilbane, <br />Becki Simons, David Wahl, Dale Thomas <br />Staff: Planning & Development Director Kim Wenger <br />1. FinancialReport <br />a. Fundraising update <br />Moen, Cargill and Collection Auto Group are programming support sponsors at $10,000 <br />each. Other donations have been made by Medical Mutual, the Chamber and Massage Envy. <br />Additional sponsors are needed for event support, which will determine the level of event <br />programining possible. Kiin is in discussion with Peet's regarding possible sponsorship, <br />perhaps an "official coffee" status in exchange for coffee stations at events. She asked the <br />group to think of other businesses to approach in a similar manner. <br />II. Publicity & Outreacla Reports <br />a. Website: celelbratenortholir?sted.com <br />The first phase of the website launched at the end of September. The next phase, including <br />event information and registration, will be up and running the first weelc of November. <br />Various people will be contributing content on community history, notable residents and <br />interesting businesses. <br />b. Faceboolc: celebratenortholmsted <br />The Faceboolc page has been transitioned over to the bicentennial imagery. Committee <br />inembers are encouraged to post to the page and share information from the page with their <br />networlcs. The page is attracting a number of lilces and will be a good vehicle for <br />communication. <br />c. Bicentennial Co-Branding <br />The event co-branding application is coinplete and has been emailed out to the Community <br />Council network. It will also be posted on the bicentennial website. Applications have <br />already been received. <br />d. lelorth Olmsted Magazine <br />Editors at Cleveland Magazine will determine page count for the magazine by the begiruling <br />of November. This will dictate how many pages can be allotted to each story. Content will be <br />due in December.
