middle school. The home to the east he has heard was used for farmhands worlcing for Mr.
Huntington. Mr. Dubelko said researching county deeds and historical archives, the 1910 census
shows a couple living in the home by the name of Cornell. There could have been an older
farmhouse at the site and replaced by the current home as a structure is shown on the site in
earlier maps of the area. The census shows the Cornell family as farm labors in 1910. Mr.
Schumann said the intent of the school is to demolish the home and line up the driveway with the
traffic light. The schools will be coming before the city including Landmarks to receive a COA
to have the home demolished to build the new school. Mr. Schumann said he would like the
office to arrange access to the site so the commission can see the inside of the home.
Mr. Morse said the coinmission should have more information for Butternut Ridge homeowners
on the Landmarks webpage so they understand what to expect from the commission. There could
be a list of dos and don'ts as well as exainples of minor change. Mr. Limpert agreed that the
website should help homeowners understand the purpose of the Landmarlcs Commission, and
how the cominission can help owners of the district preserve historical value. Ms. Wenger said
the office had a design guideline tri-fold she would share.
Ms. Wenger said there is a vacancy on the commission and the last member filled the design
requirements. The new commissioner has to be a design professional and although a resident is
prefei7•ed it is not required. She aslced members to reach out to friends, family, Coe worlcers and
acquaintances to assist in finding a new member.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. ?
David Neville, Chair - onna Rote, lerlc of Commis
Date: /( z/3// v
