CMS13-43 - Ml Motors; 28450 Lorain Road
Ms. Wenger said this proposal consists of building additions and site improvements on the
Mercedes/Porsche campus. About 1,800 square feet of space will be added to Mercedes and
about 3,000 square feet of space will be added to Porsche at the rear of both buildings to expand
auto service operations at the dealerships. Other slight building modifications such as new doors
are proposed on the existing building. Construction will be consistent with existing building
materials. A new masonry dumpster enclosure will be installed behind the Mercedes building.
A small amount of green space will be removed to the east of Porsche for additional parking
spaces. The property owner is in the process of closing on the Fox Auto building to the east of
the Motorsports building and plans to extend the same wood fencing along the north property
line as exists along the rest of the boundary. She explained that the applicant would also like to
construct a dumpster in the northeast corner of the Fox Auto property, which would require a
variance for yard setback. She requested the Commission to consider a recommendation on the
variance to BZA. Denver Brooker of vocon was present on behalf of the owner. He reviewed the proposed
changes and indicated that they would be soon submitting a lot consolidation once they closed on
the Fox Auto property. Ms. Nader asked for clarification on the dumpster enclosures; they will
be constructed of masonry and approximately 7 feet tall. She requested that concrete curbing be
installed in areas of new pavement.
Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Rerko, to approve the development plan, conditioned
upon the inclusion of perimeter concrete curbing and the submission of a lot consolidation,
which was approved unanimously.
Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Ms. Walker, to recommend the BZA approve the rear
yard setback variance for the dumpster enclosure in the northeast corner of the property,
which was approved unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
`?-----?
Greg Malo?e
Chair
Ki berly Wenger
Director of Planning & Development
'z- ZI I4
Approved
