color the man door would be painted and Mr. Smith said they typically paint man doors brown to
match the downspouts. Ms. Nader prefers the man door brown to blend into the brick color and
aslced if there would be a metal canopy over the menu board as shown in the color renderings.
Mr. Smith said there would be no canopy over the menu board. Ms. Nader felt there were too
inany inconsistencies between individual drawings and color renderings for the commission to
make a recommendation for approval. Mr. Malone said the commission needs to see color samples of any and all colors to be used on
the building. The paint samples are to be labeled with the color and manufacturer information on
the back of each sample. Show painted pavement to reflect how vehicles will be cued for the
drive tluough. The commission prefers the darlcer red awnings over bright red. Provide a
detailed drawing showing details behind the proposed logos. The wooden fence is to be replaced
with new solid fence far enough down the driveway to not impede vehicular or pedestrian sight
line. Show a new dumpster enclosure matching the new fence style and color. There is to be no
faux balcony over the piclcup window however the east faux balcony is acceptable provided
descriptive details ai•e shown including colors and dimensions. New detailed drawings and color
renderings are to be submitted incorporating all the commission's recommendations including
plant sizes. Ms. Nader aslced that all rooftop units be shown in the drawings including how they
will be screened.
Neighbor Timothy Nowal< said he would like to see the new fence which matches the style,
design and color of the Burger King fence. The existing fence does not bloclc vehicle lights from
shining into his home. The split rail fence is his but would prefer a privacy fence which would
stop pedestrians from cutting through his yard.
Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Ms. Nader, to table CMS14-1146: Popeye's of
26170 Lorain 12oad, which passed 6-0.
COMMUNICATIONS
Master Plan Update
What Do YOU Thinlc Workshop - Thursday, July 31St, 7:OOpm, John Knox Church
Ms. Wenger reviewed the upcoming worlcshop scheduled and encouraged the commissioners to
take and pass on flyers to their neighbors and friends as well as attend the workshop.
ADJOURNld'IE1VT
Withf rio further
Greg
the meeting adjourned at 8:25 pin.
???3//y
Approved
