The Knight Biddulph home will need to be plaque next. Ms. Wenger suggested asking the owner
if they would prefer a ceremony or prefer to plaque the home themselves. If the owners are open
to a ceremony the committee should look at having the ceremony a Saturday in November.
Historical Tour
Mr. Neville said there have been 60 registrations thus far. Ms. Wenger reviewed the flyer and
signs which would be placed at each location being viewed. The administration is working to
have things finalized within the week and will have informative brochures to be handed out. Mr.
Neville said there will be music at Frostville but they were unable to secure actors to perform on
each of the buses. Each location will have someone present to give a little history and
background on the location and answer questions.
Recognition Programs
Ms. Wenger said Council passed legislation which gives the commission the authority to
establish recognition programs. Her summer intern was tasked with imagining what Uniquely
North Olmsted would look like or how it could expand and stand the test of time. One thought
was to have a tree sculpture and each leaf would represent the Uniquely North Olmsted recipient
and would be hung on the tree, with thought that the tree would continue to grow. However with
all the bicentennial events taking place perhaps the commission should address the topic towards
the end of the year.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the absences of Mr. Rerko and Ms. Schuler were excused and the
meeting adjourned at 9•00 P.M.
?.?( '
David Neville Chair onna Rote, Clerk of Commissions
Date: /O / / q // e,--
6
