A variance for 4 parking spaces; code requires 8, applicant shows 4, Section 1161.05. <br />5. He and his client have tried multiple layouts and <br />configurations to try and meet code but any configuration used requires a variance. City codes <br />require the business name and logo above it be boxed in making the total square footage 52 sq. <br />ft. The owner is required to have the logo on her sign. Following the cities sign codes creates a <br />hardship. Mr. McKee said that due to the angle of the building and the alignment of the other <br />shops his tenant's frontage is very limited. <br />Ms. Rudolph questioned what the size of the previous wall sign was and Mr. Belknap said he <br />didn't know. He believes the height of the previous owners sign is comparable to what they are <br />proposing. The sign can't be made any smaller than what's proposed. Mr. Raig suggested <br />having the logo and the word Cell on one line and Phone Repair on the second line. Ms. <br />Bedding said the guidelines for the logo state the logo has to be above, below or to the right of <br />the wording.
