Code requires a rear yard setback of no less than 50 feet. <br />Mr. Maloy stated that his wife has medical issues, which makes it difficult for her to maneuver <br />around the home. He would like to build the deck so his wife can enjoy the outdoors in a safe <br />way. The deck and railings will be made of composite materials and he will install landscaping <br />around it. Mr. Allain pointed out that the house is at the rear yard setback limit so any deck <br />would require a variance. He added that the plan seems reasonable and Ms. Sabo agreed. <br />Ms. Sabo moved, seconded by Mr. Allain, to grant the following variance as written for 16- <br />7393; Arthur Maloy; 3623 Hunter Drive: <br />1. A 15 ft. 6 in. variance for rear yard setback; code requires 50 ft., applicant shows 34 ft. <br />6 in., Section 1135.08(a). <br />Motion passed 5-0. <br />COMIVIERCIAL APPEALS Al\TD REQUESTS <br />16-7407; gIampton Inn; 24601 Countrv Club Boulevard <br />Proposal consists of a monument sign. The property is zoned Mixed Use A. <br />The following variance is requested: <br />1. A variance for a monument sign located within the 35 ft. traffic hazard triangle; code does <br />not allow, applicant shows a sign installed within the triangle, Section 1163.17(a). <br />Note: Variances were previously granted for wall signage on 8/7/08. <br />No representatives for Hampton Inn attended the meeting and did not notify staff that they would <br />not be there. <br />Mr. Raig moved, seconded by 1VIr.
