Ms. <br />Wenger pointed out that there is some information available in the Planning Department that <br />may be useful for this project. Mr. Morse expressed concern for accurate dates. Mr. Limpert saw <br />merit to focus on areas over a longer period of time versus trying to go through all of the eligible <br />homes in a short amount of time. This would allow flexibility for the commissioners to research <br />homes in addition to fielding incoming requests. Discussion regarding ways to publicize the <br />program- newspapers, websites, handing out flyers, letters. Ms. Wenger suggested that the <br />Planning Department staff and Commissioners start with the data already available in addition to <br />promoting the program. Mr. Dubelko pointed out that there weren't many clusters of houses in <br />the city in 1915 so the maj ority of eligible homes are in clustered areas. He suggested starting <br />with the 1920 map of North Olmsted to help identify homes that may still exist. Mr. Aspery <br />pointed out that other programs across the country require the applicants to pay fees to cover the <br />cost of plaques. Mr. Limpert suggested presenting certificates to the homes and giving them the <br />choice to purchase a plaque. The commissioners agreed that the applicants should cover the cost <br />of the plaques. <br />Thompson House <br />Mr. Neville stated that the roof and upper floor are ready to be pulled off of the house and March <br />17th the moving company will begin preparing the house to be moved. Ms. Wenger stated that <br />the permit fee for moving the house will be waived. The house will be going into the north east <br />corner of the Frostville campus along Cedar Point Road. The house will be turned so the rear of <br />the house will face the campus.
