with a work plan for the next year at a future meeting. Ms. Nader asked about the Community <br />Park project. Ms. Wenger stated that in 2015, a Rec Center Master Plan was begun and the parks <br />were included in that plan after looking at what amenities were provided for in all of the facilities <br />and the schools project. The Mayor will be sharing the concept plans for the Rec Master Plan <br />with Council soon to try to see how the project will unfold before going to the public for input. <br />Ms. Wenger described the Interchange Gateway Master Plan, which includes all entranceways <br />into the City that do not have signage and would include lighting, design, art, and other things. <br />The Landmarks Commission will be working on signage for the Historic District. There will be a <br />brand expansion project with Studio Graphique that will include more options for <br />communications from the City. <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to approve the 2017 Master Plan Annual <br />lteport as written, motaon passed 7-0. <br />Small Cell Towers <br />Mr. Patton asked about the future likelihood of cell towers being installed. Ms. Wenger stated <br />that the amount of data usage has driven the need for small cell towers and explained the recent <br />state legislation that limits the city's ability to control wireless facilities in the right of way. Mr. <br />Schumann stated that these companies are considered utility companies and the city has little <br />they can do about it. There will be a need for both macro sites and small sites in the future.
