Mr. Dubowski moved, seconded by Mr. Limpert to approve the Certificate of
Appropriateness for new windows and updating the deck at 17-7843; Intune Management;
25717 Butternut Riclge Road, motion passed 7-0.
24662 Lorain Road; UDF; Coe Ridize Historical Marker
Mr. Aspery stated that the sign representative for UDF reached out to him about installing a
monument sign in the location where the Coe Ridge historical marker is located and proposed
relocating the marker. Mr. Aspery consulted with Mr. Dubelko and Ms. Wenger and they
believed the marker could be moved a few blocks over near Coe Cemetery, where the original
Asher Coe home stood (near Buckeye Lanes), or where the home of Mayor Leon Coe stood. Mr.
Dubelko confinned that the drawings seen by the commission members did not reflect the
relocation options. Mr. Dubelko stated that he believed Ms. Wenger would like the sign to be
moved to City property so it would not be moved in the future. Mr. Schumann believed the
Commission was looking at putting a marker at the cemetery and this may be a good time to do
so. Mr. Neville and Mr. Schumann agreed that the current sign location gets lost among the
buildings. Mr. Aspery stated that the state office allows historical markers to be moved as long as
they are visible and accessible to the public.
Ms. Schuler moved, seconded by Mr. Schumann, to recommend movir?g the Coe Ridge
historical marker in front of Coe Cemetery, motion passed 7-0.
OLD BUSINESS
Centennial Home Program
Staff will send the letter for potential centennial home program participants along with the
application. As staff receives the applications and supporting documentation, they would be
added to the upcoming Commission agenda for review and approval. If applicants are approved
at the meeting, they will be mailed a signed certificate along with the information to order a
plaque. If they are denied, they may provide more information and present at another meeting.
There was discussion regarding addresses for centennial home owners; Mr. Dubelko would like
addresses pulled from the Cuyahoga County Auditor site instead of from the Haines system. Mr.
Dubelko asked that the wording about program participation creating no additional requireinents
be included in the letter to the potential recipients. For the eligible homeowners, certificates will
be prepared by staff and after being signed by the commission chairperson, will be mailed out
with the information to order a plaque. The order with the manufacturer is in place so
homeowners will simply call to make their payment if they are interested in purchasing a plaque.
Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to approve the Centennial Home Program
materials with the procedure outlined in the minutes of F'ebruary 13, 2017 minutes with the
wording changes as suggested, motion passed 7-0.
COMMUNICATIONS
Van Auken Donation
Ms. Rambo-Ackerman stated that Lois Van Auken, a former Landmarks commission member,
passed away in November 2016 and her daughter donated some of her materials back to the
