CITY OF NORTH OLIVISTED <br />A12TS CONIMISSION <br />MIloTU'I'ES OF JULY 18, 2018 <br />6:30PM <br />ROLL CALL <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. in Council's Caucus Room. <br />Present: Jackie Chavez Anderson, Leah Rogalski Davis, Lauren Suter, Wilma Kepperley, Laura <br />S imna <br />Absent: Janelle Zauner, Annie Kilbane, Jenny Taylor <br />Staff: Planner James Aspery <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Approval of June 20th meeting minutes was postponed until August due to a lack of inembers <br />present from the June meeting. <br />OLD BUSI1oTESS <br />Bike Path Beautification I June 2 <br />Jackie asked if new trash can lids have been placed on the trash cans and if the Commission is <br />expected to paint these lids. It was agreed by all that the group will not be revisiting the bike path <br />this year, but signs could be designed by the Commission and created by the City Sign Room to <br />provide more awareness and encouragement to keep the bike path clean and safe. Leah and <br />Lauren suggested incorporating a blend of children's artwork and professional images to create a <br />complete sign program along the bike path. It was agreed by all that this idea will be revisited in <br />fall once school is back in session. <br />Yoga in the Park I Julv 7 <br />Jackie stated that 83 people attended the July 7th event with several return participants and <br />several new attendees. Rack cards were passed out to attendees with a large focus on the Party in <br />the Park event. Lauren suggested that a poster be hung at the Rec Center specifically advertising <br />yoga events. The next event is scheduled for August 4th <br />NEW/ONGOING BUSINESS <br />North Olmsted Partv in the Park I Julv 28 <br />James confirmed that the Lowly, the Tree Ghost will be paid $350, Meg & the Magnetosphere <br />will receive $300 and Michael McFarland and Jerry Popiel will receive $250 each. Laura <br />confirmed that all bands will be ready to perform at their slated times with no issues. Two <br />auxiliary police officers have been hired to work the event from 5pm-9pm at a total expense of <br />$240 for both officers. Leah stated that all food trucks are confirmed. James stated that the liquor <br />permit was submitted at an expense of $40 and is currently under review. Fat Heads staff cannot <br />serve the beer according to the permit requirements. The Commission will purchase four <br />different types of beer from Fat Heads by the keg and receive an invoice from Fat Heads <br />following the event based on actual beer consumption. Jackie confirmed that volunteers will be <br />needed to check IDs, issue wristbands and drink tickets as well as manage money. All tip <br />proceeds must be returned to the Arts Commission. It was agreed that drink tickets will be $5 per <br />ticket with a 4-ticket limit per transaction. Yard signs will be created outlining rules for <br />purchasing and consuming beer. Wristbands and drink tickets are being purchased for the event
