1 ` _ .. <br />The Commission unanimously approved Thomas Baracskai's solo gallery exhibition to run from <br />September 1 St through October 31 St <br />Open Mic 1`Tight at Springvale Coffeehouse I October 18 <br />It was agreed by all that the event will run from 6:00-8:30pm in the Springvale Clubhouse to <br />allow for slightly longer performances without running too long for guests. T'he budget was <br />agreed upon at a total amount of $425: $50 for general supplies, $75 for required PA system gear <br />and $300 for refreshments to allow room for more purchases in the event that food and drink <br />donations do not come in. James and Laura will launch the call for artist by the end of the month <br />at the latest to allow for a longer application period attracting a wider range of artists. Leah will <br />reach out to Bob Sammon to gauge his interest in emceeing and performing at the event. It was <br />agreed by all that the coffee bean and candle centerpieces will be reused for this event. James <br />will reach out to 2018 City Hall Art Gallery artists with an invitation to display their artwork and <br />be recognized at the event. <br />North Olmsted Noel I December 2 <br />The group went over their respective assignments for this year's event. Janelle will contact <br />Adam Hudak about a small fire and will research reindeer options. James confirmed that Annie <br />is working to secure last year's Santa for the same price. It was agreed by all that the brass band <br />would not be invited back and recorded music will be played over the PA system. Jackie and <br />Leah suggested other forms of entertainment such as balloon benders and face painters; Jackie <br />will contact the balloon bender and Leah will contact the face painter. Leah will ask the NOHS <br />choir to return like last year; it was agreed by all that they would receive a donation for their <br />performance. James confirmed that he will secure a large vinyl banner to be placed next to the <br />large holiday decorations being purchased. Yard signs will be made and distributed to members <br />by Halloween for placement in their yards. It was agreed by all that the Commission would seek <br />community groups to provide crafts similar to last year. Janelle asked for someone else to work <br />the hot chocolate station on the patio. Jenny volunteered to work there again and requested a <br />space heater to provide warmth. James confirmed that he will coordinate student volunteers. <br />Jackie asked about usefulness of their volunteer efforts. James confirmed that he will coordinate <br />outdoor or indoor games with Parks & Recreation staff.
