It was agreed by all that while the inaugural event in 2017 did not go over as well as hoped, the
Commission is open to exploring a partnership if the event takes on a different, more engaging
format in 2018. Jackie suggested that the event incorporate an intergenerational movie in the
park and games. Lauren and Leah added that the event could focus more on interactive music,
featuring group instrument lessons and perhaps a small concert showcasing intergenerational
music. Yard games andlor board games were agreed as a potential event component to promote
hands-on experiences for attendees. This topic will be revisited in more detail at the February or
March meeting to provide the Education Foundation with a clearer answer on the Commission's
involvement.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
Jackie Anderson, Cha
C.AA v< 2 - iqnafe/'Sa.?-?
Approved: E/Z ?
James Aspery, Planner
