,?. . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARTS COMMISSION <br />NIINUTES OF APRIL 18, 2018 <br />6:30PM <br />ROLL CALL <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:31 p.m. in Council's Caucus Room. <br />Present: Jackie Chavez Anderson, Annie Kilbane, Leah Rogalski Davis, Jenny Taylor, Janelle <br />Zauner, Wilma Kepperley <br />Absent: Lauren Suter, Laura Simna <br />Staff: Planner James Aspery <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Leah moved to approve the Arts Commission minutes of March 21, 2018, seconded by Janelle, <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Yoga in the Park <br />Leah stated that the Apri17' event went well and had 70 people in attendance. She is hoping for <br />wanner weather next month so that this number will grow. Jackie shared her excitement over the <br />growth this event has seen over the past year. The next event is May 5t'. <br />Mavor's Art Show I March 27 <br />James and Wilma said that the event well over very well and saw many families and friends <br />attend along with their student artist. Jackie and James noted the disappointing member turnout <br />and requested that members make an effort to be at all Commission-sponsored events. James <br />reminded the group that student artwork will be up through Apri127h and will be replaced by the <br />Natural Wonders group exhibit for the entire month of May. <br />Earth Fair I Apri122 <br />The group went over final details for the event. Leah confirmed her Cabin layout. Jackie and <br />James went over the need for help with tear-down after the event, as help has been scarce the last <br />two events. James confirmed that he will be setting up the PA system for playing recorded music <br />throughout the event. Wilma confirmed that a local Girl Scout troop will be helping with the <br />craft table. James shared the promotional materials and posters for use at the event. Members <br />signed up for shifts at the info table. It was agreed by all to arrive at between 10:00am and <br />11:OOam to help set up. <br />Citv Beautification Event I June 2 <br />James stated that early organization is underway for this event. Promotion will be rolled out in <br />May while cleanup supplies are being gathered. <br />Summer Music Event I July 28 <br />It was agreed that the official event name is North Olmsted Party in the Park: Live Music & <br />Food Trucks at North Olmsted Park.
