Which is in violation of 90-125, Section (1163.15). Note: Board of Zoning Appeals tabled the <br />request on 12-2-04. Betty Russo's variance request was canceled. The applicant submitted a <br />letter stating she was no longer the owner of (PP# 23128 004) 23906 Lorain Road property. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Laketec Communications; (PP# 235-07-009,010), 27881 Lorain Road: (WRD 3) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of partial replacement of site lighting. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />l. A variance for outdoor light fixtures riot being a full cut off, (code requires full cut off, <br />applicant shows none), section (1162.12 (d)). <br />2. A 6 inch variance for height of concrete pedestal for liglit poles, (code requires 30", applicant <br />shows 24"), section (1161.12 (f)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1161.12 (d)) and (1161.12 (f)). <br />Note: 1. Lighting is essential to the safety of the public & employees. They shall be terminated <br />when the site is not occupied. 2. All light sources to be shielded from adjoining residential <br />district. <br />Mr. Little the owner came forward to be sworn in and address the request. Mr. Little indicated <br />that he replaced four of the existing light poles with decorative street lights. To address light <br />spillage all the lights now have shields to buffer the residents. However, not all the lamps have <br />full cutoffs which are required by code. He suggested that the lights have been left on all night <br />and the shields have solved the spillage concerns the abutting neighbors had. He has been <br />working with the neighbors and will continue to do so. Mrs. Diver asked if there were additional <br />lights being added or if the lights shown on the current plans are what were being requested. Mr. <br />Little stated that the lights requested are what are shown on the plans. Lamps 4, 5, 6 and 7 were <br />removed completely and the new lights are shown on the plans as 4, 5, and 6 which now have <br />shields to protect the neighbors. <br />N. Sergi moved to grant Laketec Communications of 27881 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12) which consists of partial replacement of site lighting and that the <br />following variances are granted: <br />1. The proposal consists of a new sign <br />The following variance is requested: ; <br />A 30 square foot variance for a wall sign larger than code allows, (code permits 36 sq ft. and <br />applicant shows 66 sq ft.). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.24 (C)). , <br />Mr. Behra with Boyer Signs came forward to be sworn in and address the request. Mr. Behra . <br />indicated that the existing sign would be replaced with a smaller sign than the current sign on the <br />building. The chairman asked what the difference would be between the two signs. Mr. Behra <br />stated that the word "the" will be removed and the proposed letters are all capitalized. Mrs. Diver <br />2
