The following individual came forward to be sworn in and address the request; Mr. Harris <br />with Brilliant Signs. ' <br />Applicant's presentation: <br />Mr. Harris said the reason for the request was due to the other tenants using the entire <br />allowable square footage for the site. They would like a sign that would be fitting to their <br />building. Mrs. Diver stated that the movie gallery had been in place for nine years and <br />questioned what changed. Mr. Maloney stated that the board did not receive a letter from the <br />owner allowing the request. Mr. Rymarczyk stated that he would like to recalculate the <br />variance as there were two separate parcels involved at the strip center. <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant 1Vlovie Gallery of 23300 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12), vvhich consists o€ a new sign as amended and that the Building <br />Department will reconfigure the allowable square footage to determine the variance <br />required. The applicant is to submit an accurate site plan. J. 1Vlaloney seconded the <br />motion, roll call on the motion, J. Maloney, W. Kremzar "yes", M. Diver and T. Kelly <br />"no". Motion Denied <br />7. Harry Buffalo; 470 Great Northern Mall: (WRD 4) <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of a second wall sign. <br />The following variances are requested: <br />1. A variance for 2 wall signs on a unit, (code permits 1, applicant shows 2), section <br />(1163.27 (A). <br />2. A 30 square foot variance for a wall sign larger than code permits, (code permits 100 sq', <br />applicant shows 130 sq'), section (1163.27 (C)). <br />3. A 10 l square foot variance for total square feet ; of signage on, a building unit # 1, (code <br />permits 110 sq', applicant shows 211 sq'), section (1163.24 (C)). <br />4. A 1 foot variance for a wall sign higher than code,permits, (code permits 4', applicant <br />shows 5'), section (1163.27 (C)). , . <br />Which is in violation of 90-125, Sections (1163.27 (A)), (1163.27 (C)), and (1163.24 (C)). <br />Note: #1 includes existing wall sign. <br />The following individual came forward to be sworn in and address the request; Mr. Aftoora, <br />with Great Lakes Sign,Company. <br />The board questioned a fax they received from the mall indicating they had not given approval <br />for the applicant's request. Mr. Aftoora stated that he did not know that the board needed to <br />have a letter from the landlord. Mr. O'Malley advised that the board requires the landlords to <br />be involved with the sign requests. , They -further would like the landlards present to address a <br />sign package for the entire mall. Mr. Aftoora stated he would return in April with the proper <br />requirements. <br />, i ,. . <br />IV. ADJOUIaNMENT: <br />J.
