BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS 2005 REPOIdT <br />FEBRUARY 3, 2005 <br />Betty Russo, 23906 Lorain Road, (WRD 3) <br />Betty Russo's variance request was canceled. The applicant submitted a letter stating she was no <br />longer the owner of (PP# 231 28 004) 23906 Lorain Road property. 2/3/05 <br />Laketec Communications; (PP# 235-07-009,010), 27881 Lorain Road: (WRD 3) <br />N. Sergi moved to grant Laketec Communications of 27881 Lorain Road their request for <br />variance (1123.12) which consists of partial replacement of site lighting and that the following <br />variances are granted: <br />1. A variance for outdoor light fixtures not being a full cut off, (code requires full cut off, <br />applicant shows none), section (1162.12 (d)). <br />2. A 6 inch variance for height of concrete pedestal for light poles, (code requires 30", <br />applicant shows 24"), section (1161.12 (f)). <br />Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 sections (1161.12 (d)) and (1161.12 (f)). W. Kremzar <br />seconded the motion which was unanimously approved 2/3/05 . <br />Halleen Kia, 27726 Lorain Road, (WRD 1) <br />W. Kremzar moved to table Halleen Kia of 27726 Lorain Road variance requests until the Board <br />of Zoning Appeals meeting of March 3, 2005. M. Diver seconded the motion which was <br />unanimously approved. 2/3/05 <br />Men's Wearhouse; 25932 Great Northern Shopping Center: (WRD 4) <br />J. Maloney moved to grant Men's Warehouse of 25932 Great Northern Shopping Center their <br />request for variance (1123.12), which consists of a new sign and that the following variance is <br />granted: A 30 square foot variance for a wall sign larger than code allows, (code permits 36 sq ft. <br />and applicant shows 66 sq ft.). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1163.24 (C)). T. <br />Kelly seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. 2/3/05 <br />MARCH 3, 2005 <br />Halleen Kia, 27726 Lorain Road, (WRD 1) <br />1. A use variance for parking/storage of vehicles for car dealership on residentially zoned land, <br />(code does not permit, and applicant shows parking). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section <br />(1135.01). The use is for the storage of cars only, no commercial business can take place and the <br />mound is to be installed as shown on the current plans. The variance approval is also contingent <br />upon lot consolidation. T. Kelly seconded the motion, which was unanimously denied. Variance <br />Denied. 3/3/05 <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Halleen Kia, of 27726 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12) and that the following variance is granted as amended: <br />2. A 65 foot variance for building setback on Lorain Road, (code requires 75', applicant shows <br />10'). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section (1139.07 table). The variance approval is <br />contingent upon lot consolidation. T. Kelly seconded the motion, which was unanimously <br />approved. Variance Granted. 3/3/05 <br />W. Kremzar moved to grant Halleen Kia, of 27726 Lorain Road their request for variance <br />(1123.12) and that the following variance is granted as amended: <br />3. A 40 foot variance for building setback on Porter Road, (code requires 50', applicant shows <br />10'). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section 1139.07 table). The trees are to be preserved <br />as presented and the variance approval is contingent upon lot consolidation. M. Diver seconded <br />the motion, which was unanimously approved. Variance Granted. 3/3/05
