NEW BUSINESS
Dairv Queen Restaurant, 24579 Lorain Road (WRD 4):
Proposal consists of exterior modifications to the existing building including landscaping. The
Planning Commission tabled this proposal on July 12, 2004 pending recommendations from the
Architectural Review Board.
The Board started the meeting without a representative from Dairy Queen. Ms. Wenger reported
the proposal had previously been reviewed in a pre-submission conference. Recommendations
were made to extend the landscaping in the queuing island, and to address safety and drive
through circulation issues, as well as to remove additional signage on the east elevation.
Removal of the blue neon rope lighting was recommended. Preserving of brick instead of the
proposed EIFS was suggested. The parking issue was discussed, namely the spaces in the south
portion of the lot and the configuration of the parking lot. Ms. Wenger indicated the parking
