CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2005 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />R. Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairman R. Puzzitiello, N. Althen, P. Engoglia <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Building Commissioner Rymarczyk, Planning Secretary L. McNabb <br />ABSENT: D. Sabo, M. Conway <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />P. Engoglia moved to approve the minutes of August 15, 2005. N. Althen seconded the motion <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />III. OLD BUSINESS <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS <br />Michael Folev, 4840 Bailev Road, North Olmstecl, Ohio (WRD 4) <br />Applicant requests to replace an existing wood fence with a new board on board fence 3' - 4' in <br />from an existing chain link fence for privacy purposes. This is in violation of Zoning Code <br />1369.03A,3. <br />Mr. Foley submitted pictures showing the view of his back yard in relationship to the condo. <br />They reside on a dead end street. He informed the Board that the current fence does not run <br />the entire length of this property and therefore, is proposing a board on board fence for privacy <br />purposes. There will be a 3- 4' space between the fences. <br />P. Engoglia moved to accept the wood fence with an access gate in order to maintain the area of <br />3-4' between the two fences. N. Althen seconded, which was unanimously approved. <br />Kim and Christie Kort, 3375 Walter Road, North Olmsted, OH (WRD 2) <br />Proposal is for construction of a new house. Code requires exposed exterior walls of masonry <br />construction above grade to be faced with brick stone or other material. This is violation of <br />Zoning Code 1305.05 (c). <br />The contractor and applicant came forward and indicated they would like to keep it as the <br />drawing submitted shows and do not viant to put a hrick ledge that would extend from the finish <br />grade up to the bottom of the siding. The finish grade will be below the window. The window <br />will not be covered by the dirt. The applicant asked if they could paint the brick face. The <br />Board indicated it could not be painted. Mr. Kort advised the Board that the house is situated <br />so far back from the street that it would not be noticed if it was stamped concrete. Mr.
