,?.,.
David and Jennifer Holy came forward. Chairman Puzzitiello presented a copy of a June
13`h letter to the applicant. It had been signed by many neighbors who objected that the fence
be installed. The Holy's indicated they were unaware anybody objected. A 5' existing
brown wooden post and rail fence exists on the neighbor's property on the east side. The
applicant wants to install a fence for privacy and to keep their dog in the yard. They
indicated their dog can jump a 4' fence at this time and he is 8 months old. N. Althen asked
the applicant if they were opposed to putting a 5' fence up. The Holy's said a 5' fence costs
twice the costs of a 6' fence.
Mr. Engoglia has no objection to the fence as long as there is a 3' space between the fences.
This 3' would enable them access to the area between the fences for maintenance purposes
and the applicant will install a gate in the fence. T. Rymarczyk said the zoning code allows a
5' fence in the rear. Asst. Law Director O'Malley reviewed the code regulations and
advised the Board of their duties to reviewing the requests.
P. Engoglia moved to grant a variance for a 6' fence on the east side of their property as
requested as long as there is a 3' axea between the existing split rail fence and the proposed
fence, which was unanimously approved.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
b
P. Engoglia move to adjourn the meeting at 5:50 p.m. M. Conway seconded.
