and removing anything they feel could be sold or used. They also voted to disassemble the <br />schoolhouse to salvage any materials which could be reused to build a one room <br />schoolhouse at Frostville Museum. The SITES and KEY Club groups have been contacted <br />to bring in volunteers. They are networking through the schools and other groups to allow <br />the school groups to be a part of the process. The commission discussed finding more <br />information about the school and trying to figure out what building in fact was the first <br />schoolhouse. Mr. Schutnann advised that the building is about 20' x 25' and the museum <br />has some old school desks of the period and would put them in the schoolhouse as well as <br />photos on the walls. <br />Mr.. Schumann attended a restoration clinic at the Stan Hewitt Hall and reviewed that the <br />speaker spoke for about 8 hours and was very experienced and has worked all around the <br />United States restoring buildings. There is even a school now in Southern Ohio to teach <br />students how to do restorations-and the students are doing quite well as there are not that <br />many people that know how to restore historical buildings. There was a wide variety of <br />people who attended the conference. After the conference they were taken on a backroom <br />tour of the Stan Hewitt Hall. They went through the walls, in the basement and in the attic <br />of the 1915 structure to see how the building was constructed. The building is as about as <br />large as the Gun and there is natural gas on the land which is used to heat the building. He <br />made friends with one of the curators of the hall and has spoken with him about ideas on <br />restoring homes. <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS: <br />VII. ADJOUI2NMENT: <br />P.
