t?' y the home of North Olmsted's first resident and built in 1831. P. Schumann seconded <br />the motion, roll call on the motion; P. Barker "abstained" J. Lang, B. Lord, M. Davis, <br />P. Schumann and T. Schock "yes". Motion Carried <br />Mr. Schumann suggested tha.t at last months meeting the commission discussed CD's for <br />copying the data base of lustorical homes but did not motion for the clerk of purchase the <br />disc. The commission discussed making copies of the historical data base as well as the <br />historic church being moved for Commissioners, arcluve files, Council members, the <br />Historical Society, City Library and City Planner. The commission requested a packet of at <br />least 50 be purchased. <br />P. Schumann motioned to have the clerk purchase recordable CD's so copies of the <br />historicat data base could be made. P. Barker seconded the motion vvhich was <br />unanimously approyed. <br />V. COMMUrTICATIONS: <br />• Cleveland Restora.tion Society annual memberslup meeting: <br />B. Lord moved to pay $35.00 per ticket for two Landmark members to attend the <br />Cleveland Restoration Society Annual Membership meeting and paid for out of the <br />comffiissions' budgek P. Barker seconded the motion which was unanimously <br />approved. <br />• Commission to discuss possible recommendations for Mayor's appointment to current <br />vacancy. <br />Mr. Bazker spoke with Mayor O'Grady regazding possibly appointing Mr. Kepperley a <br />retired high school teacher and Mr. Kepperley was asked to submit a resume. Ms. <br />Thogmartin was also recommended as a member and reminded to submit her resuYne to the <br />Mayor as well. <br />Ms. Cadwallader with the Olmsted Historical Society read aloud a letter thanking the <br />Landmazks Comanission for their assistance in helping the Olmsted Historical Society bring <br />about their goal of moving the Barton Road Church to the Frostville Museum. The church <br />was finally moved on June 28, 2005, after 18 months of hard wark and fundraising for public <br />support. She advised that on going fundraisers woiald continue to help complete the project <br />over the neXt couple of years. Their intent is to use the church not only as a historical <br />building but for historical presentations, meetings, and weddings. 1VIr. Lang thanked Ms. <br />Cadwallader and voiced that the Commission looked forward to working with fhe Historical <br />Society in the future. Mr. Bazker commented that he was very pleased to see that the <br />commission and historical society were building an avenue of communica.tion as well as a <br />working relationship. <br />Ms. Cadwallader on $ehalf of the Olinsted Historical Society asked if Landmazks would be <br />willing to donate any records the commission may have pertaining to the Barton Road <br />Church. Any information gathered could help the society in applying for federa.l grants to <br />restore the church. Mr. Lang suggested that the documents the commission possessed <br />pertaining to the church were of a late vintage not early records. The documents they posses <br />were given to the Landmazks Commission when the Barton Road Chuach congregation was <br />absorbed into the Clague Road church.
