.? ?
for final approval. Mr. Schumann questioned when the application would be ready for
submission. Mr. Lang thought it would be ready some time in April or May of 2005.
Mr. Nashar questioned the status of the Barton Road Church. Mr. Schumann reviewed that
the Church has all their documents in order and have contracted Boss Company to pour the
foundation at Frostville. He reviewed that the permits from the North Olmsted Building
Department are quite high. The commission would like to see what could be done to waive
some of the cities' fees as the Historical Society is trying to preserve one of our buildings.
Mr. Schrock suggested the commission motion to have the city waive all fees for the
permits. Mr. Barker felt that the Historical Society is doing North Olmsted a favor by
preserving a landmark and they are moving the structure. Landmarks is not in the position
to help pay for the permits as their budget is very limited. They felt that the cost of the
police would be reasonable. Mr. Lang said he spoke with Mr. Jesse about waiving fees,
and Mr. Jesse is seeing what he could do to minimize the costs. The board discussed the
process of moving the church and whether or not power lines would need to be moved to
accommodate the building.
T. Schock moved that where as the Barton Road Church is one of North Olmsted's
historic landmarks; The City of North Olmsted has not contributed any monetary
funds to the churches preservation; The Historical Society has raised all funds through
community furid raising; Therefore, the North Olmsted Landmarks Commission
respectfully requests the City of North Olmsted waive all fees as an in kind
contribution to the preservation of the history of North Olmsted in connection with
moving the Barton Road Church from its current location to the Frostville Museum. P.
Schumann seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. The clerk is to send
the motion to the Clerk of Council so legislation could be drawn up for Council's approval.
VII.
