building would only create adverse impacts on the residents. He believed that the layout of
the addition should be changed to have the service bays pointed away from the residential
area to decrease the noise levels. He questioned if the applicants would have a PA system
and suggested that all the pole lights should be on the outer edges of the property pointing
inward to buffer the residents from the lights. Ms. Wright voiced that she is concerned with
the increase in noise, lights and fumes from the addition. She lives across from the existing
trees along Porter and don't believe that the trees will be enough to buffer her home. Mr.
Felleisen a resident of Porter believes that they should be given a mound and fence buffer as
those along Dewey received. Mr. Pacsuta voiced that he is concerned with the step-down
fence as he can look out his window right onto the car lot. He would like to see the mound
corrected at the tree on Dewey to form a well around the tree and place the fence on top of
the mound and the tree could survive. Landmarks Chairman, Mr. Lang came forward to
review Landmarks meetings with the applicant. Mr. Trapp stated although he is against the
mounds, he would rather have a mound with the fence than have the noise that would come
from the addition. He also feels that the applicant w'ill be back in a few years expanding
further north.
R. Koeth moved to table Halleen Kia of 27726 Lorain Road with following comments; A
new photometric plan of the entire site and new elevations are to be submitted. The
plans are to be sent to the City Forester for input on possibly using two rows of
arborvitaes along the northern property line and fencing is still required. To look at
extending the north landscaping, upward.between the existing three, oak trees, for site
and sound buffering purposes. There are to be brick pavers from the corner of Dewey
Road along the entire length of Lorain Road and along the entire length of Porter Road
property line. The new plans are to show the space between the existing service garage,
stepping the fence down off the mound and continuing it until it connects to the front
west corner of the. service garage. There , is to be double rows of arborvitaes on the
north side of the added fence. J. Lasko seconded the motion which was unanimously
approved.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
1.
