Cindy Michel, a Bentley Drive resident stated that after she looked at the site plan, only had one <br />concern and that is safety in tlie back lot. She asked that the City look into it. Mr. Durbin stated that tlus property is landlocked. Mr. Bohlmann said that this is not an issue <br />for the Planning Commission. Mr. Lasko commented that from both a safety and entrepreneurial <br />standpoint, the conditions of the wooded azea have the potentiai to become an issue for the new <br />tenant in the future. That area will need additional attention. <br />J. Lasko moved to approve the proposai for Bentley-Coe Day Care, 24141 Lorain with the <br />following qualifications: <br />1) The grate on the existing inlet is replaced with a casting that is safe for clWdren to <br />transgress over. <br />2) The striped area of the plain crosswalk be extended from the end of the building <br />through the parking areas tBat will be eliminated. The parking areas fbat wouId be <br />eliminated would stretch from the souther8 ezposure uf the bnild'mg to the aorthern <br />exposure of the play area and be clearly marked as a painted crosswalk that eztends the <br />entire distance. <br />3) Additional speed bumps are piaced an addition to where they are shown on the east of <br />the proposed crosswalk near the building, bnt additional speed bumps be placed in <br />comparable distance to the west of the proposed crosswalk between the property line and <br />the southern ezposure of the building. <br />4) The disposition of the tree that may be in the proposed area of the playground be <br />determined and marked oa the phns after consultatioa with fhe City Farester. <br />5) An additional "children crossing sign" be placed on the east side of the building. <br />T'rafiic traveling from the east or west from the building would be made aware that there is <br />a crossing area for chiidren. <br />R Bohlmann seconded, which was unanimously approved. <br />VII.
