cities seauor district codes. While researching city codes it was found that the current codes did <br />not accurately reflect the needs of today's senior citizens. Slie reviewed other community's <br />codes and invited the Building Depa.rtment and representa.tives from Wellington Place to have a <br />workshop to discuss current needs of senior citizens and the health care community being able to <br />meet their needs. She recommended that the Planning Commission refer the ordinance to their <br />legislation conamittee to go over all the recommended changes in detail. Mr. Bohlmann <br />requested the committee look at gara.ges requiring two car spaces verses one car. <br />V. COMMITTEE 1tEPORTS: <br />Ms. Wenger announced that all proposals pertaining to the recreation plan were received and in <br />the upcoming weeks a consultant would be picked to get the work underway. <br />She is scheduled to meet with tlie streetscape consultant to go over any remaining issues. <br />She announced that the revised Master Plan was approved and was one cover away from going <br />to the printer. 5he believed the next step for Planning Commission was to start identifying the <br />priorities for the master plan implementation. Mr. Yagez suggested having a caucus prior to next <br />Plamning Commission ffieeting to devise a starting point. <br />Ms. Wenger indicated that if the mexge of the Architectural Review Iioard and Plar?ning <br />Commission is approved in December she would like to have a work session in 2006. However, <br />there was a Planning Conference being held in Cleveland, in SepteYnber and she was thinking of <br />t?sirag training funds to send the commissioners to the conference if they were interested and she <br />would provide thetn more details as she received them. <br />Mr. Durbin advised that as there had been a lot of talk regarding storm water detention systems <br />he would 1"ike to iiavite Mr. Houser with the Solon Water Conse:tvation to give Plannialg <br />Commission a seminar which would run about 2 hours to help the commission be more familiar <br />with new regulations. Pianning Commission encouraged 1VIr. Durrbin to work with Ms. Wenger <br />to set up a special meeting for the seminar. <br />VI. ADJOURNM]ENT: <br />J. Lasko move to excuse the absence of Chairman R. Koeth and adjourn the meeting. W. <br />Spalding seconded the motion, which vaas unanimously approved.
