ACTIVITIES COMMISSION 2006 INDEX JANUARY 4 2006 • Commissioners need to appoint a chairman and vice chairman/chairwoman • Mr. Garland wanted the commissioners to start thinking of when they would like to have the different groups perform so they can start making arrangements for the 2006 Holiday Season. • Mr. Yustick discussed having an art show at Frostville Museum • Mrs. Martindale reviewed the Dover Players current status ? Mr. Kepperley announced they will be having a prograxn "The other side of the Accordian" at Berea Fine Arts. FEBRUARY 1, 2006 Mayor O'Grady was present to perform the reappointments of each of the Cultural Aetivities Commissioners under their new staggered terms. • Law Director Bryan O'Malley will be in attendance to answer questions perta,ining to proposed art show. • Angie Cadwallader, Paul Schumann and Commission members discussed the necessary details of an Art Show at Frostville.. MARCH 1, 2006 ? Mr. Yustick reviewed the application process for the Art Show. • Mrs. Martindale noted that she would like the Commission to consider creating a Holiday Event. • Mrs. Martindale reviewed the Dover Players schedule for the year. APRIL 5, 2006 • Mrs. Brown pressed the Commission to increase the promotion of city cultural activities. • Mr. Kepperley discussed fhe High School events • Mrs. Martindale reviewed Dover Flayers' current production MAY 3, 2006 * The Commission requested to make sure that the Old Town hall is reserved for December 26', 27th, 28th for their Chrishnas event. * The commission continued to discuss an art show at Frostville for next sununer. JUNE 7, 2006 • Mrs. Martindale spoke of the Dover Players' submission for a Community Giving Grant from Target. • Mr. Garland suggested acommittee be formed to develop and Art Festival next summer. • Mrs. Martindale will contribute her car for the parade event • Mrs. Brown: John Knox concert series has concluded.
