CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CULTURAL ACTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />2006 INDEX <br />• Mrs. Martindale contributed suggestions for the Old Town Hall Christmas event. <br />JULX 12, 2006 <br />• Mrs. Martindale spoke with Jack Boss regarding putting together a Haunted <br />House in Frostville for Halloween tiane. <br />The Commission reviewed the brochure designed for Homecoming. <br />The Commission revisited the idea of having an art show in August of 2007 <br />AUGUST 2, 2006 <br />•'The Commission members discussed and agreed on using the Cultural Activities <br />logo created by Mr. Wahl. <br />• Garland spoke with the Cuyahoga County Commissioner's office regarding a <br />cigarette tax levy to acquire funds for the arts. <br />• The Commission discussed their involvement with the Homecoming event on <br />August 25, 26 & 27t", 2006. e Mrs. Curry discussed the possibilities of advertising for the art show in the paper. <br />o The Dover Players next play is Death Trap, scheduled for October. <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 8006 <br />a Mr. Kepperley has received about 400 business cards from various artists. <br />• Mr. Garland doesn't think the Senior Center was a good location for the CAC <br />sign ups and information. <br />• Ms. Curry contacted Kay Daley at the Sun Newspaper regarding news release for <br />next year's art show <br />OCTOBER 4, 2006 <br />• The Commission discussed the Red Brick Center for the Arts. It will be a cultural <br />arts center in Westlake. <br />• Mr. Kepperley spoke about 440 applications being mailed <br />• Mrs. Martindale said the play is coming along well. Dover Players now have a <br />web site. <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2006 <br />• The Commission discussed the Christmas event planned at Old Town Hall. <br />• Mr. Kepperley is considering sending out reminder post cards for the event which <br />is scheduled to take place in August. <br />• Mr. Yustick proposed invitirig someone from the V4lestlake Arts Council <br />DECEMBER 6, 2006 <br />• 1VIr. Kepperley will have musicians playing at the Old Town Ha11 event on <br />December 28t'. <br />• The 28t' will be for smaller children, the event on tiie 29th will be for the older <br />teens and adults. The band playing is named The Minimum Requirements. <br />• Mr. Kepperley moved to have the January meeting rescheduled to January 10t' <br />2
