? •' • Lack of curbing along Whitethornto control water runoff • Prefer asphalt shingles over metal roof for a more residential look • Increased traffic on Whitethorn • Construction vehicles parked on Whitethorn Mr. Smith assured the residents that the stormwater would meet city requirements and the construction vehicles would be parked in the leased parking lot. Mr. Lasko questioned if any commissioner felt that the loading dock area was warranted. All commissioners agreed that a loading dock was not warranted therefore they would not require a loading dock. J. Lasko moved to table Third Federal Savings of 26949 Lorain Road which consists of site improvements including demolition of existing bank and constructing a new bank with the following recommendations: 1). New landscaping plans submitted which accurately reflect the proposed landscaping. 2). Undulating 3-foot mounds are to be incorporated along Whitethorn and the 3-foot black aluminum fence should be properly listed and reflected on the plan. 3). The recommendations made by Mr. Malone are to be incorporated and reflected on new landscape plan (i.e. eliminating the use of ash trees on the site, Blue and Alberta.Spruce trees used the caliper of the trees). 4). Request_ a sample of the proposed metal;?roof as well as an asphalt shingle. 5). Any and all sidewalks along both Lorain Road andr,W,.hitethorn Blvd which need repair or replacing in fact be repaired or replaced. 6). Brickscape along Lorain Road is to be reflected on new plans. 7). The radius of the drives are f6<meet code requirements as well as stormwater and illumination requirements. 8). If easU'di -ive is eliminated the 2 farthest east parking spaces are to be eliminated however the commission is open to the possibility of two drives along Lorain Road as long as the eitst curb cut isi an'-exit right turn only. 9). The enclosed dumpster is to be briek with vinyl type gates and th,e colors are to match the proposed building colors. 10). The applicant is encouraged to continue to move forward without requiring variances. R. Bohlmann secondedthe?qiiotion whieh.Wasunanimously approved. Mr:1Vlahoney voiced that he did not believe that an illuminated wall sign was needed along the; ' soutli as,it faces residential homes. Mrs. Meredith voiced that a variance would be required. i?f the east curb cut is used due to a directional sign being installed. Mr. Lasko requested the applicants show requested signage to scale on the new plans to be submitted. VI. COMMUNICATIONS: J. L'ask'o`moved to excuse the absence of M. Yager. M.
