•the site. Mr. Mongello the owner of the neighboring site believed that the number of variances were
significant and felt that the applicants were trying to put too much on a small lot. Ms. Brandon voiced
that as it was during the holidays the condo and apartment owners could not get out of their driveways
as the traffic along Lorain Road blocked their drives and she believes that the car wash would only cause
the traffic problems to increase. She strongly suggested the applicants be asked to conduct a traffic
impact study of the area before the plans were approved.
Mrs. Diver felt that there could be a reasonable return made without all the variances being granted. The
variances being requested are substantial and she is concerned that emergency vehicles would not have
access to the site in an emergency. She did not believe that the required radius could not be met and that
it was debatable as to whether or not government services would be affected by the site. The proposed
owner has full knowledge of the limitations of the site prior to purchasing the lot. She did not feel that
the spirit and intent of the code would be met if all the variances were granted. She is not comfortable
with the radius of the driveway or the possible impact the site would have on traffic.
J. Burke seconded the motion, which was
unanimously approved. Variance granted
J.
