Mr. Knowles said the Barton Road Church move has rejuvenated the OHS <br />and allowed the society to reach out to the city and community to expand their membership <br />inchiding new members. The Cleveland Metroparks recognizes the OHS as a strong affiliate <br />which has grown and is moving forward with great plans for the future. They hope that they will <br />be in the position to provide additional opportunities for not only the Frostville Village but the <br />surrounding communities as well in the fields of education for young and old. The master plan <br />will talce place as funds become available and the Metroparks is looking forward to seeing the <br />plan unfold. Mr. Rerko felt the Frostville Village should be commended for saving the buildings <br />which they have been able to save from demolition and they are to be commended for all their <br />hard work. Mr. Lasko said he thought Mr. Schumann was to be commended for the hard work <br />he has put in at the museum as well as the Historical Society and Landmarks Commission as his <br />energy has allowed the village to become the jewel in the rough and can't wait to see the plan <br />completed. Mr. Schumann invited everyone to the Art Show on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from <br />10:00am to 6:OOpm as all the homes will be open for viewing and 22 artists will attend. <br />J. Lasko moved to approve the proposal for Frostville Museum of Rocky River Reservation <br />which consists of a restroom addition and the tentative Master Plan for the future <br />development of the Museum. M. Mahoney seconcled the motion which was unanimously <br />approved. <br />3. Clatk Gas Station; 28915 Lorain Road: (WRD # 3) <br />Proposal consists of a new addition and site improvements. <br />Mr. Laslco advised that the Clark Gas station had been withdrawn from the agenda and would be <br />addressed at a later date. <br />VI. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Ms. Wenger announced that on Wednesday, August 22 the CDBG hearing will be held as <br />required every year. In the past few years the city has been successful in becoming recipients of <br />grant funds for projects such as, the ADA park improvements, The City Master Plan partially <br />funded and most recently the ADA compliance studies. The hearing is an opportunity to discuss <br />and choose what type of projects to submit. She welcomed the commission to attend the hearing <br />and tlie clerk was aslced to include reminders in the Commissioner's packets. <br />The design guidelines and street scape plans were never officially adopted and the plans will be <br />docketed some time in September with possible committee meetings prior to being docketed. She <br />will contact committee members with times and dates. <br />J. Lasko movecl to excuse the absence of Commissioner M. Meredith.
