Lasko moved to approve the Planning & Design Commission minutes of July 11, 2007 as <br />written. M. Meredith seconded the motion, which was unanimously approved. <br />IV. Kev Bank; 26380 Great Northern <br />Proposal consists of a fagade renovations and site improvements. <br />Ms:'Wenger reported that the proposal consisted of exterior renovations including landscape <br />iiiipzovements, extending the drive-thru awning, replacing existing canopies, adding a stucco <br />systein above the window line of the building and new signage. The proposed signage will <br />require variances. <br />Mr. Conway reported that the existing signage total square footage on the building is $1.53 sq ft. <br />The;proposal would increase the area of signage significantly. The elevation drawings do not <br />have the building or signs scaled properly. Mr. Lasko questioned if the window signs, drive <br />through and ATM signs and bulletin board panels are included in the total signs on the building. <br />1Vrr:'C6nway advised that these items are not considered signage as they are not visible from the <br />right of way. <br />Mr; ;:Collins reported that the auto tellers/ATM should include lane striping. The eight parking <br />spaces along the eastern property line should have painted striped islands at both the north and <br />soutli ends to channel the traffic in the right direction. Four traffic aisles are mislabeled for two- <br />way traffic. He said the alta survey and site plan were not consistent. <br />NIr.''Pinter, architect, said Key Bank is revitalizing all their banks in the area. The schedule <br />iricliides replacing the existing canopies adding landscaping and extending the auto teller <br />awning. New plans were distributed which he stated were accurately scaled. <br />1VIr: Rerko questioned the stucco systems ability to adhere to a glazed brick surface. Mr. Pinter <br />said. he spoke to the manufacturer who assures that the stucco system will work by using <br />masbnry screws to adhere the plastic slats to the mortar joints, installing a base coat, latex skim <br />coa?.and a cement based finish coat.
