.? <br />? Silznage on Butternut <br />The Commission discussed the issue of having signs on Butternut Ridge Road. Mr. <br />- Schumann stated that there are two commercial signs. One is for a beauty parlor the other is <br />for music lessons. You are permitted to have a sign on the house. Mr. Orlowski stated that <br />commercial signs are supposed to be set back a certain distance from the street. The building <br />department is aware of the sign. <br />CLG <br />The Commission discussed completing the CLG application. They would like to speak <br />further with Bryan O'Malley. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Living History <br />Mr. Schumann discussed the Living History Project. He explained how they will worlc with <br />the school to keep the project continuing over the years. The advertisement will be on the <br />city and the school channel. The phone line has been established with the schools and <br />Shannon English will maintain the contact with interested people. Mr. Schumann mentioned <br />that the project will be looking for volunteers to help document the information. <br />Proclamation for Betty Lord <br />Mrs. Davis has been speaking with Lois Van Auken in an effort to put together information <br />about Betty Lord. Mrs. Lord was instrumental in receiving grant money to put together a <br />historical survey of North Olmsted. Mrs. Davis suggested the language of the Proclamation <br />should reflect Mrs. Lord's involvement in the bicentennial year in establishing the <br />Landmarks Commission. Mrs. Van Auken has not received a Proclamation. <br />Sprinp-vale 1dIarker <br />Mr. Thomas discussed the Springvale Historical Marker. He has corresponded with Kim <br />Wenger with regard to the application. The marker has been approved by Council. The <br />Historical Society is willing to fund the marker as well. It will be completed in the near <br />future; however the time involved in obtaining the marker will be about three to four months. <br />VI. COMMUNICATIONS: Mr. Schumann distributed periodicals that were submitted. <br />VII. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />VIII.
