Church was subsequently restored by the Olmsted Historical Society. As a result of the <br />partnership with the Olmsted Historical Society, Landmarks Commission members and other <br />City officials were invited to participate in the rededication of the Church. <br />COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND MEMBERSHIPS <br />In recent years the Landmarks Commission has worked hard to form partnerships with other city <br />government groups. Along with the Planning Department, the Commission has a working <br />relationship with the Mayor, City Council, and other boards and commissions. Specifically, joint <br />projects strengthened the partnerships with the Cultural Activities Commission in 2008. The <br />Landmark Commission's membership includes a member of City Council and two members of <br />the Planning and Design Commission. <br />The Landmarks Commission can boast a wide range of inemberships and community <br />partnerships. These include but are not limited to the Ohio Historical Society, the Cleveland <br />Restoration Society, the Olmsted Historical Society, the Cleveland Metroparks, North Olmsted <br />Kiwanis, the North Olmsted City Schools, the North Olmsted High School Key Club, and the <br />North Olmsted High School SITES Program. <br />Olmsted Historical Society and Frostville Museum <br />The City of North Olmsted is fortunate to <br />have an active historical society. The Olmsted <br />Historical Society operates the Frostville --? ? _ -- <br />Museum, which is located in North Olmsted ? <br />wrthin the boundaries of the Cleveland <br />Metroparks Rocky River Reservation. The <br />Museum consists of several of the oldest <br />historic homes of North Olmsted. Many of <br />these have been moved to the site over the last <br />- ??- . <br />50 years. In 2008 the Society rededicated the <br />Frostville Village Church. This Church was moved in 2005 and restored over the past _LL_,?hhz <br />three years. <br />The Olmsted Historical Society is the second <br />busiest affiliate of the Metroparks system. ? <br />The Society enjoys a membership of over 100 with more than 50 active members. The <br />¦ <br />Society directly sponsors or assists with about <br />12 public events each year at Frostville. More _ <br />than 30,000 people visited the Museum in <br />2008. Each building on the site is a museum in itselt'. l'he Landmar•ks Commission as agroup is <br />a member of the Society and several Commissioners are individual members. This includes the <br />President of the Society for 2008 and the Society Archivist, who also sits on the Board of <br />Directors.
