No variances were required through the BZA. The commission granted leniencies on two minor
code requirements. The first concerned a slight shortfall on setbaclc requirements for a couple
properties that back up to Springvale Golf Course. The second concerned driveway width for
some of the units. It was recommended to Council the requirements be waived in favor of the
results as a whole. The final report and supporting documents speak for themselves. The
Planning and Design Commission followed all the recommendations made by the Landmarks
Commission. A copy of the final report will be e-mailed to Landmarks Commission members.
Caster Property, Butternut Ridlle Road
Mr. Lasko indicated there is a sale contract pending between the owners of the Caster property,
also known as the Lincoln House, and the North Olmsted City Schools. The property is adjacent
to and west of the school property on Butternut Ridge. The planned future use of the property is
unknown. However, the footprint of the school parcel in the frontage along Butternut Ridge
Road is square except for that corner. Adding this property will square off that side of the
school's property line. From available information, other than the sandstone foundation in
basement, everything original in the home has been gutted and destroyed. Mr. Lasko said, in his
opinion, very little other than the sandstone bloclcs are worth preserving.
Biddulph House, Butternut 12idge Road
Mr. Schumann said the Biddulph house has been painted and the asking price has been reduced
to a more reasonable sale number; it is down to $195,000 from the original $439,000.
ADJOU1tNMENT
Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Ms. Davis, to adjourn the meeting, which was unanimously
approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:17 pm.
Paul Schumann, Chair
O 3, aoo ?
Date
?. ?
ricia A. Granfors, Secretary
4
