<br />Date: 12/03/09 <br />City of North Olmsted <br />Plai-ining Department <br />5200 Dover Center Road <br />North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 <br />To: Planning Department <br />Our family moved to 7148 Barton Road, in North Olmsted in October 2009. We purchased our <br />home here because of the excellent schools for our 6 year old daughter, the proximity to work, <br />and the convenience to shopping at the Great Northern Mall area. We also are impressed with the <br />fact that the city developed a Master Plan in 2005. <br />There are many positive points about our house which is why we purchased it. Therp is one <br />major feature the house does not have, enough storage space. We have 3 cars, a motorcycle, <br />riding lawn mower, and many yard tools. <br />With our wooded lot size of 70'x 420' and based on the fact that we are not in a housing <br />development, we thought it was a good possibility the City would approve a slightly larger 14'x <br />20' vs. the allowable standard storage shed of 10'x 20'. The storage shed will be used for all of <br />our items that we could not put in our garage due to their size and/or safety. <br />, <br />There are three other properties on Barton Road that have an attached two-car garage, as we do, <br />but they also a 1%2 car detached-garage. <br />7000 Barton Road, detached 2 car garage and a 1%z car detached-garage <br />6684 Barton Road, attached 2 car garage and a 1%2 car detached-garage <br />6511 Barton Road, attached 2 car garage and a 1%z car detached-garage <br />Based upon what was approved by the City in the past for the above-mentioned properties, <br />please consider our request for approval of a variance permit to build the proposed 14'x 20' <br />storage shed on our property. <br />Thank you for your time concerning this issue. <br />Siricerelv,
