Ms. Rud0lph moved, seconded by Mrs. Sergi, to table the request of Inchin's Bamboo <br />Garden of 5106 Great Northern Shopping Center for a 90 square foot variance for total <br />wall signs on a building unit (3 signs), code permits 89 sq ft, applicant shows 179 sq ft, <br />section 1163.25 (c) which was unanimously, approved 4-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Board members requested Mr. O'Malley work on wording for the board's rules and procedures <br />to ensure there is no misunderstanding that the board requires property owners to be present at all <br />meetings. Mr. O'Malley said will provide new language for the rules and procedures and work <br />with the clerk to create wording for the BZA application to ensure both are consistent. <br />The Board discussed their satisfaction over the few strip center/plaza owners who have come <br />before the board with master sign packages for their centers to minimize and control signage. <br />They questioned if wording could be worked on to require strip centers or plazas to provide a <br />master sign paclcage for future tenants. Mr. Conway cautioned the board about requiring existing <br />owners to submit master sign packages and Mr. O'Malley agreed that the issue of master sign <br />packages as written relates to new developments only at this time. <br />Mr. O'Malley said the Mayor was in the process of interviewing a candidate for an appointment <br />to the BZA but not sure if the appointment would be completed by the June meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Mrs: Diver adjourned the meeting at 9:30 pm <br />\ <br />i f r ?- <br />MaureedDiver, C air <br />Approve : <br />D?
