A special Cultural Activities Commission meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on July 29 in the <br />Frostville Barn to review the final artist submissions so the confirmation letters may be mailed <br />out in a timely manner. <br />Centennial of Village of North Olmsted ancl City Schools - Parade Enta-y <br />Ms. Martindale said Ryan Wolf will supply a truck for the parade entry. He will obtain the <br />necessary insurance and forward the document to Randy Jones. She is pleased with the number <br />of participants. Ms. Martindale's husband created portraits of the presidents who were in office <br />when the homes owned by CAC members and Landmarks Chairman Schumann were built. He <br />placed the 8" by 10" prints in water repellent envelopes. Presidents represented include: Zachary <br />Taylor (Denis Brown home, 1850), Dwight D. Eisenhower (John Kepperley home, 1953, David <br />Wahl home, 1954, and Beverle Martindale home, 1955 [Butternut]), Franklin D. Roosevelt <br />(Jerry Yustick home, 1958), Andre Jackson (John Martindale home, 1835), Ulysses S. Grant <br />(Paul Schumann home, 1870), and Chester A. Arthur (Beverle Martindale home, 1882 [Mastick <br />at Columbia]). Mrs. Curry indicated that her home was built in 1969 and offered her help to Ms. <br />Martindale on this project. Various display ideas were discussed. Ms. Martindale would like to <br />have the photos mounted lilce campaign posters and placed in the front yards. She would lilce to <br />involve more homes on the parade route. Mr. Kepperley said there may be boxes of campaign <br />stands with wire feet in the basement of Old Town Hall. Details will be worked out as the <br />project continues. <br />Cemetery Improvement Proiect Fundraisinlz Event <br />Concerning the Gravestone Restoration Workshop, Mr. Wahl inquired whether it was a two day <br />class or if two separate dates were being offered. He is interested in the training but is <br />unavailable Saturday, July 18. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Cultural Activities Commission Meetir?2 Time <br />Mrs. Curry observed that the Commission has not been starting the meetings at the posted time <br />of 6:45 p.m. and recommended that the meetings be started on time, even if that time is changed, <br />to avoid confusion for both members and guests. <br />COMMITTEE 12EPORTS <br />Dover Players Undate <br />Ms. Martindale reports that an actress in The Children's Hour cannot perform in the last two <br />performances. Another actress will be sought.
