Comment from that office is expected the week of March 16 on whether
additional information is needed. Good progress has been made on gathering and collating veterans'
records from various sources into a master database, identifying needs including site surveys,
seeking cemetery restoration education venues, and the start of a comprehensive improvement
plan for public review. One decision that has been made is not to move forward with any
restoration until we are better educated and trained. It is requested any related informational
sources be submitted or recommended. Committee members will review and comment on the
plan outline prepared to date. Mr. Schumann encourages the involvement of all Landmarks
Commission members on this project. Copies of the draft plan outline are available.
Great Northern Multi Modal Transportation Plan
Mr. Schumann announced the GNMMTP Public Meeting will be held Thursday, March 19 at
6:30 p.m. at the North Olmsted Library and encourages the Landmarks Commission members to
attend. The GNMMTP presentation may be viewed through the link provided on the Planning
Department page of the City website. A slide on the cemetery improvement plans is included.
