<br />v? <br />Figure 4: Existing conditions ofsidewalks <br />A Steeriag Committee was formed consisting of local officials, business <br />represenratives and other azea stakeholders to mea throughout the projcct. <br />Also formcd was a Tcchnical Advisory Committec consisting of representatives <br />&om ODOT; NOACA and the RTA Richard L. Bowen + Associates, Inc. <br />(RLB+A) is the consultant for the project. <br />Communiry input avas encouraged throughout the planning process. Public <br />mcerings, Steering Committee meetings, parricipadon by the City of North <br />Olmsted Planning & Design Commission, Ciry Council, and other advisory <br />committees of Ciry Council all added to the public input component of the <br />srudy. Zhe City of North Olmsced's website, under the Planning Department <br />section of the website was used so that inurested residents> businesses, <br />and other organizarions could contaa Planzung Department with further <br />information. <br />A list of primary stakeholders was aeaced to add addidonal input into che <br />project for those who were most relative and most affected by the GNMMTP. <br />From stakeholder input the following questions wcrc to be addressed in the <br />plan: <br />• What pazt can transportadon investments play in encouraging qualiry <br />economic growth? <br />• How can we improve the links and rdarionships between the land <br />use and transportadon to achieve responsible urban growth parnms <br />following the principles of smart growth and sustainability? <br />• How can we improve links between the different population centers, <br />which will srnngthcn tht basc for economic growth? <br />• How can transportation decisions enhance our qualiry of life and <br />improve our natural environment in a way that is fair and equitable <br />for the City of North Olmsted? <br />From the input, assessment and data compded for this study, six de£iciendes <br />and thra main goals were identified highlighting the existing transportation <br />system within the midy area. <br />8 1 The Gtrat Northem Multi Modal Transportation Plan <br />Figure 5: Existing bus s[ops <br />Figure 6: Inconvenient pedestrian circulation
